The Norse creation myth

When the heat of Muspelheim met the ice of Niflheim in the middle of Ginnungagab, the ice melted and life began to stir. From this collision came the first living being, the frost giant Ymir.
The gods eventually used Ymir's body to forge the earth, sea, and sky, filling the void with the manifest universe.
